Our mother raised our family in Alabama and we did not have much. I was a sick kid—I had chronic asthma and suffered an eye disease that left me blind for 12 years. I was then in a car accident that left me paralyzed from 1991-2000. In 2004, I gave my life to Christ. I was born with a gift called the Discerning in the Spirit, being able to see things that no one else could. I have a calling in my life now and a great compassion for people.
In 2003, I was in a car accident and died. My legs were separated from my body. God was trying to call me into the ministry but I would not come. I woke up a week later in the hospital with rods and steel in my legs. In 2004, I saw my mother pass away and I was so depressed I became suicidal. God healed me from everything and released me from my burdens.
I dealt with depression for more than 30 years and know what depression is. You have no hope and no energy. Being in an accident and having asthma allowed me to have such great compassion for others.
Since 2004, when I got saved, I have visited cancer patients and rape victims in their homes. I’ve also hosted
Under the Passion Ministry, we have impacted lives worldwide. We are proud that God has allowed us to make an impact and impression on people’s lives. We also feed the homeless from our own supply and my Wife, Shelia Young, a social worker for the community, has worked tirelessly with our ministry.
Prayer and Hope
Prayer and Hope is a ministry that offers prayers through the Word of God and kindness. Along with the Tree of Life Project, we minister to service members as a Christian counselor and help stop veterans from committing suicide.
I want to give honor to one of the co-founders of our Ministry, Janet David-Jackson from Indianapolis, Indiana. She has been a huge help to us as part of the women’s ministry. She was able to minister to other women about her life and where she came from. Because she was so relatable, she was able to help so many people through their healing process. Janet has been a tireless worker for our ministry.
My mom, being my hero, prayed over our lives and God honored those prayers. Our ministry is totally about the love of Christ. We have prayed for many people, 95% of whom received a miracle. We have prayed for those who were at death’s door, as well as for those in need of salvation, healing, and deliverance.
